General Instructions for Booking Online Appointment
  1. In view of the termination of its operations by the outsourcing partner M/s. VFS Global for visa, passport, OCI, consular services (collectively called CPV services) w.e.f 01.07.2025, all CPV services (except those provided by e-SEWA) will now be directly made available and handled from Consular Section of Embassy of India, 20-22 Rue Alberic Magnard, Paris 75116.   2. In the first stage, all applicants are required to complete the application process for their specific consular services as per the guidelines mentioned in the consular section of the website of Embassy of India, Paris. In the second stage, the applicant is required to book an APPOINTMENT through an online appointment system which has been made available on the Embassy’s website.
  3. In cases of lost passports for short-term visitors (not resident of France), applicants can walk-in for submitting the application for Emergency Certificate as per the above time slots.
  4. Monthly appointment slots will be opened on 25th day of every month at 0900 hrs for the entire next month. (For example, majority appointments for September 2025 will be opened on 25th August 2025 at 0900 hrs). Some additional weekly appointment slots will be opened on every Friday at 0900 hrs for the following week. (For example, at 0900 hrs on Friday (1st August 2025) limited appointments will be opened for the next week from 4-8 August 2025)
  5. Appointments will be given on a first-cum-first serve basis. At a time an applicant can book only one slot. Second appointment can be booked only after availing/canceling the already booked appointment. Applicants are also advised not to come more than 10 minutes before their scheduled slot to avoid overcrowding of the consular space. Applicants coming without appointments will NOT be entertained.
  6. Applicants are requested to cancel their appointment in case of their inability to appear at the Embassy as per the booked slot. Cancellation is possible until 12 Hrs prior to the date of appointment. Canceled slot will then be automatically open to other applicants.
  7. Please note that, Embassy of India in Paris has NOT outsourced consular services to any private agency. Any misuse of appointment system by any agency or individual, false claim or pretext of emergency etc. may render the agency and the applicant liable for denial of services subsequently.
  8. It is also observed that private agencies/ third parties are mis-using personal details shared with them by some applicants for booking bulk appointments. Applicants are, therefore, strongly advised to book an appointment on their own by using their personal details. Embassy will NOT, repeat NOT, entertain appointments booked through private agencies.
  9. Applicants may note that,payment is accepted by card. Euro 0.60 will be charged per application over and above the applicable consular fees as mentioned on the website. Applicants are also kindly requested to note the fees for consular services published on the Embassy’s website, and are strongly advised NOT to make any additional payment to any third party/private agency.
  10. Services to the applicant will be given according to the Service selected by the applicant from the drop-down menu of appointment system at the time of booking appointment. Maximum two services can be requested by an applicant during a single appointment. Embassy will not entertain request for granting service other than the ones selected by the applicants.
  11. Time for submission of applications post appointment is between 0930 to 1230 hrs and 1400 to 1500 hrs from Monday to Friday.
  12. For collection of documents prior appointment is not required. The time for collection of documents is between 1500-1600 hrs on all working days. Instructions have been given under each service when applicant checks the status or by email on collection of ready documents/passport/Visa. Collection of more than one document belonging to the same applicant is permissible.
  13. Applicant must carry his/her passport/ID card, print of the appointment confirmation email, completed application form, and the required documents as per the checklist required for specific consular services at the time of visiting the Embassy.
